It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.

Cairo
End of our first week of school. We've moved in to our new classrooms, but the rest of the building is "in progress." Students are wonderful; they smile easily, are eager to learn (mostly) and treat each other well.
Glad to see that you have landed and are getting used to the day to day life of Cairo. It is interesting to make comparisons between home and Cairo, I see that you can post pictures of your students. How wonderful is that, real people! Looks like your classrooms are fresh and new, so clean but stark. I imagine that as I read your blog through the days, those walls will fill with wondrous things. Say hi from Halifax to all the students.
